End of Imprisonment and Beginning of Exile for “Hamideh Zara’i” Among Detainees of Nationwide Protests

The exile of “Hamideh Zara’i” among detainees of nationwide protests began immediately following the completion of her imprisonment period.
Hamideh Zara’i is among the detainees of the nationwide protests of 1401. She was arrested on November 12, 1401, after attending the memorial service of “Hadith Najafi” and was transferred to Kachwee Prison in Karaj. She was released from Kachwee Prison in Karaj in Bahman of that year following the issuance of an amnesty circular by the Judiciary branch.
Ms. Zara’i was arrested again on June 8 of the current year (1402) by security forces at her personal residence and transferred to Kachwee Prison in Karaj. On November 25 of the current year, she was sentenced by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj, presided over by Judge “Musa Asefalhosseini,” to one year imprisonment, two years exile to Rasht, two years ban on leaving the country, and two years prohibition from presence in cyberspace. Her one-year imprisonment sentence was reduced to nine months following her acceptance of the verdict.
According to an informed source close to the Zara’i family, Vahideh Zara’i was transferred yesterday, Thursday, Esfand 3, to Rasht city to carry out the sentence of two years exile following her release from prison.
Many detainees of the nationwide protests of 1401 continue to spend time in detention or exile even after one and a half years have passed. Without presenting valid documents and evidence, they are accused of “moharebeh,” “propaganda against the system,” “undermining national security,” and other charges, and are unjustly spending time in prisons under harassment, abuse, and torture by regime agents.
