Continued Gatherings of Retirees in Various Cities

Gatherings of retirees in protest of their demands continue in various cities.

For months, protest gatherings of retirees from various professions have been taking place in different cities across Iran, demanding that their demands be addressed, and unfortunately, no organization has yet been responsive to their requests.

Now, after months of protests on this matter, today, Monday, September 4, 2023 (13 Shahrivar 1402), a large number of telecommunications retirees in the cities of Gorgan, Rasht, Tehran, Mashhad, Yasuj, Arak, Kermanshah, Isfahan, and Khuzestan gathered in front of the telecommunications company buildings in the aforementioned provinces, chanting protest slogans to protest the failure to address their outstanding demands.

The gathering of protesting retirees comes as they have been deprived of receiving their salaries and wages for months, yet instead of paying their overdue salaries and benefits, the government is spending enormous sums on holding Arbaeen mourning ceremonies and suppressing the people.
