Two Inmates Executed in Hamadan Prison

Two inmates were executed in Hamadan Prison on Sunday morning.

Two inmates named “Hossein Amaninezhad” and “Hamed Yavari,” who were serving their sentences in Hamadan Prison on charges related to narcotics, had their sentences carried out on Sunday morning, corresponding to June 21st (21st Khordad).

It should be noted that their cases were separate regarding the above-mentioned charges, but their sentences were executed on the same day.

The number of executions in the current year is on the rise, with executions increasing daily, both regarding nationwide protests and in connection with drug-related charges. While executions of protesters are carried out despite completely contradictory case files, the execution of drug offenders continues even as the Islamic Republic system itself is one of the major drug mafias, yet arrests and executes small-scale dealers.
