People of Shiraz! Come to Khalili Hospital on Sunday to Demand Justice for My Eye Surgery

“Hossein Hoseinpour” has asked the people of Shiraz to come to Khalili Hospital on Sunday to demand justice regarding his eye surgery.
Hossein Hoseinpour is one of hundreds of young people whose eyes were targeted by security forces during the Mahabad protests, resulting in the loss of his vision. He wrote on his Instagram page: “I still feel the pain of the pellet in my eye.”
Hossein’s doctor told him there is no hope of regaining his sight and that he can only either prevent his eye from deteriorating or find a donated eye to replace his own.
Hossein was scheduled for surgery, but recently discovered that his name has been removed from the list of patients awaiting eye surgery. He posted on his Twitter account: “You took my eye and now you won’t even allow me the surgery. Every time you say something different, and now you’ve crossed my name off the surgery list. My eye hurts so much and I cannot bear staying in darkness.”
A few hours ago, Hossein Hoseinpour posted another message on his personal social media pages, addressing the people of Shiraz: “I ask you, dear people of Shiraz, to be present in front of Khalili Hospital on Sunday, Ordibehesht 24, at 2 p.m., and demand that the hospital answer for the cancellation of my eye surgery. They tell me to pray that someone dies so they can give me their eye. This is not an acceptable answer for me. I want to know why only my name should be removed from the list of patients awaiting surgery.”
Hossein has not only asked the people of Shiraz, but also the people of Iran for help so that the struggle for justice for those killed in the protests and those who lost their eyes in the demonstrations does not fall silent, and to continue on the path toward victory.
