Prince Reza Pahlavi: We Must Support Armita Garavand’s Family in This Difficult Situation

Following Armita Garavand’s fall into a coma, Prince Reza Pahlavi stated that it is our duty to support her family during this difficult situation.

Following an incident that occurred to Armita Garavand in Tehran’s metro by one of the regime’s enforcers regarding mandatory hijab, extensive reactions were triggered both inside Iran and abroad, and all Iranian and foreign media outlets published news of another crime by the regime, which the regime is attempting to cover up.

An incident not unlike the death of Mahsa Amini, where a blow to Armita’s head put her into a coma. Yesterday, people from across Tehran moved toward Fajr Hospital to prevent the Islamic Republic regime from engaging in further cover-ups.

In this regard, Prince Reza Pahlavi, in response to what happened to Armita, who continues to be in a coma, posted a message on his personal page by publishing a photo of Armita and Mahsa beside each other, with the following message: “While the Iranian nation continues to mourn and seek justice for Mahsa Amini’s killing, the news of Armita Garavand falling into a coma by the hands of the Islamic Republic’s hijab enforcers is further confirmation that with the existence of this anti-Iranian regime, the lives of Iranian children are in danger every day and every moment.

The Islamic Republic, like in Mahsa’s killing, is once again engaged in spreading lies and cover-ups. A year ago, brave journalists through investigation and reporting, as well as courageous people by gathering in front of Kasra Hospital, prevented the Islamic Republic from covering up that crime. Now we must not allow this regime to cover up violence and crimes.

Armita, like Mahsa, is a daughter of Iran. I wish for her to regain her health. It is our duty to support her family in this difficult situation.”
