Prince Reza Pahlavi: Iran is a temple and must be rebuilt

Prince Reza Pahlavi said in his speech at the Anti-Defamation League that Iran is a temple and must be rebuilt.
Prince Reza Pahlavi, who had traveled to Israel along with his wife Yasmine to convey a message of peace, appeared as one of the speakers at the Anti-Defamation League’s national leadership conference and, referring to his trip to that country, said: “I went to defend my people so they would not become victims of hatred and prejudice. Because when baseless hatred of a group is not contained, it inevitably increases, and this is what has happened in our country, Iran.”
He further added: “Just as Cyrus the Great helped free the Jews from Babylon and rebuild their temple, today my people are in captivity and need solidarity and support. There is a temple that must be rebuilt, Iran is that temple. Stand with us.”
Prince Pahlavi, while calling the Islamic Republic government an “occupier,” said: “The spirit of tolerance, friendship, and cooperation are the true representation of the Iranian nation, not the anti-Semitic terrorism and deprivation that the occupying government in Iran represents.”
At the conclusion of his speech at the league, he considered Iran’s achievement of a “secular democracy” as a condition for establishing lasting peace in the Middle East.
