Fraudsters Inject Water into Chickens to Make Them Heavier and Sell at Higher Prices

Fraudsters inject water into chickens to make them heavier so they can sell them at higher prices.

In recent years, a video was circulated on social media showing that to make chickens heavier, water was being injected under their skin at slaughterhouses or at distribution and packaging facilities. The head of the poultry and fish sellers union had commented on this issue, stating: In the past, among poultry sellers there were some violators who would place chickens in plastic barrels filled with ice water in their shops to make them slightly heavier, but now it is not possible to make chickens heavier with water in shops because for some time chickens have been packaged at slaughterhouses under the supervision of the veterinary organization and sent to consumer markets.

Today, another video has been published on social media showing water being injected into chickens to make them heavier by fraudsters. Apparently, this video was posted by actor “Parviz Parastui” in which it is written: “I wish we could know where this place is. Watch the video carefully! This woman is injecting water into the chickens so that through this method the chicken becomes heavier and the seller makes more profit. How far does this degradation and depravity go? There is neither conscience nor justice involved, this is the ultimate greed. Anything can come from a two-legged human, the rights of animals are more just than these fake humans.”

Water injection into chickens for price gouging occurs while everyday people’s tables are getting smaller and they cannot afford to buy protein foods (chicken, fish, meat), and in some families, protein products do not appear on their tables even once a year.

Despite knowing about this fraud by the protein market mafia, officials take no action to address such thefts. This is another method for emptying people’s pockets and plundering their wealth, carried out by mafias connected to the government.
