Internet Access Disruption in Zahedan

“NetBlocks” reported an internet outage in Zahedan.
Protests by Zahedan residents following Friday prayers continue weekly. Today, Friday, June 30, 2023 (9 Tir 1402), coinciding with the weekly protests of Zahedan residents, internet access and connectivity have been disrupted with no possibility of communication.
NetBlocks, the global internet access monitoring organization, also confirmed the disruption of internet connectivity in Zahedan. It appears that the internet blackout has become synchronized with weekly protests, with internet access being disrupted during popular demonstrations.
Zahedan is one of the cities that has continued protests against the regime’s overthrow for more than 9 months, and the heaviest security atmosphere, suppression, and casualties have been observed in Zahedan.
The Islamic Republic regime, by cutting off the internet during days of uprising and popular protests, aims to cut off people’s communication with the world so it can hide its crimes and suppressions, unaware that people’s mobile phones are their weapon and as soon as they gain internet access, all the regime’s violence, suppression, and crimes are immediately spread.
