America Develops Bunker-Busting Bomb for Possible Attack on Iran

“Associated Press” reported on America’s new bunker-busting bomb for a possible American attack on Iran.
According to the “Associated Press” news agency, amid escalating tensions with Iran over its nuclear program, the U.S. military released images of a powerful bomb designed to penetrate deep into the ground and destroy underground facilities used for uranium enrichment.
Images of this weapon, named “GBU-57” and known as “Massive Ordnance Penetrator,” were released in early May but were immediately deleted due to containing sensitive details about its composition and destructive power. Images of the bomb’s construction were later republished on social media, and their distribution comes as Iran is advancing in the construction of a nuclear facility that, according to Associated Press, is very likely to be beyond the range of the “GBU-57” weapon.
The United States has also developed the “Massive Ordnance Penetrator” bomb system due to concerns about Iran’s construction of underground nuclear sites intended to remain protected against possible attacks.
