Dire Conditions of Khoy People in Harsh Winter Cold

The people of Khoy are in very difficult and dire conditions during the severe winter cold.

Several days after the earthquake occurred in Khoy city (which according to released videos was not unrelated to drone strikes), the people of Khoy continue to live in very poor conditions without any basic living facilities.

In recent days, the people of Khoy went to Red Crescent centers to receive aid, but they were confronted with suppression by security forces and Basij militias. Instead of helping the earthquake victims who have lost their homes and are living on the streets, the Islamic Republic government, instead of sending tents and heating supplies, sent suppression tools and dispersed them with water cannons in sub-zero temperatures during Khoy’s harsh cold.

The people of Khoy, especially children, are in very bad conditions and spend the night in sub-zero temperatures in open spaces. They announced that unless Ali Daei comes to our aid again, we will not lose our lives and our children’s lives to the cold.

Many people in various cities have collected aid for the people of Khoy. Mr. Karim Bagheri also provided a bank account number for people to collect public aid so they could provide basic necessities for the people of Khoy. Many people deposited amounts to this account, but unfortunately due to high transaction volume, this account has been blocked and fund transfers are not possible.

Considering that noble Iran has the most honorable people in the world, they are imprisoned by a government that does not even allow people to help each other.

What crime is greater than dispersing children and people who are shivering from the cold and have no shelter with high-pressure water instead of providing them shelter.

According to statements by Iranian people, it is not unlikely that this earthquake is another of their crimes so they can direct public opinion toward earthquake victims and extinguish the fire of a popular uprising.
