Iranians Gather in Strasbourg, France to Push for Listing Revolutionary Guards as Terrorist Organization

On January 16, 2023, corresponding to December 26 in the Iranian calendar, Iranians from across Europe gathered in Strasbourg, France to demonstrate in front of the European Parliament building.

The gathering was held as a sign of protest and support for Iranian protesters who are being arrested and executed by the Revolutionary Guards, aimed at encouraging European Parliament representatives to place the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the terrorist organization list.

Four months after nationwide protests in Iran, and following the execution of Alireza Akbari, former deputy defense minister, on espionage charges for Britain, the international community has determined to place the Revolutionary Guards on the terrorist organization list.

A conference for this purpose was held in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France with the presence of parliamentary representatives from various political groups. Following Canada, Germany, and Britain, France has also decided to designate the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization. European countries have united in support of the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, hoping to accelerate the pace of overthrowing the Islamic Republic regime.
