Nationwide Protests; Five Citizens Transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin

Hrana News Agency – Nazanin Rasouli, Reyhane Sadatian, and Marzieh Yousefzadeh, following their arrest, along with Yalda Moairi and Saeeda Mohammadi, have been transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
According to Hrana News Agency, the news organ of the Iranian Human Rights Activists’ Association, Nazanin Rasouli, Reyhane Sadatian, Marzieh Yousefzadeh, Yalda Moairi, and Saeeda Mohammadi have been transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
Nazanin Rasouli and Marzieh Yousefzadeh were recently arrested by security forces. Reyhane Sadatian, who had traveled to Tehran for treatment of urinary tract problems, was also arrested by security forces.
An informed source regarding the latest situation of Ms. Moairi told Hrana: “Yalda Moairi has been deprived of phone access due to a message she recently published during her detention.”
Yalda Moairi and Saeeda Mohammadi were also arrested in Tehran on the 30th of Shahrivarmaah.
The protests of Shahrivarmaah 1401 are referred to as nationwide protests that began on the 26th of Shahrivarmaah following the death of a 22-year-old girl named Mahsa (Zhina) Amini as a result of the actions of the morality police’s security patrol in Tehran, and by the first of Mehr 1401 had spread to at least 85 cities and 18 universities across 29 provinces of the country. These protests, which are still ongoing, have so far resulted in the arrest of hundreds of people and the killing and wounding of dozens of protesters, including children.
Media outlets close to security institutions, by accusing detainees of violent acts, have released forced confessions from a number of those arrested. Additionally, the Iranian government has disrupted internet access across the country in residential areas and mobile phones.
