Liquidity in Iran Reaches Brink of ‘Five Quadrillion Tomans’

The twelve-month liquidity growth rate in Ordibehesht 1401 was equivalent to 37.3 percent.
The Central Bank of Iran says the volume of liquidity at the end of Ordibehesht this year reached four thousand and 943 trillion tomans, showing an increase of approximately 111 trillion tomans compared to the beginning of the current solar year.
Accordingly, in just the first two months of 1401, the volume of liquidity in Iran increased by 2.3 percent.
Furthermore, the twelve-month liquidity growth rate in Ordibehesht 1401 was equivalent to 37.3 percent.
Liquidity is one of the most important factors of inflation; an indicator that Iran has been among a select few countries in the world over the past three years in terms of its rampant nature.
Liquidity in Iran has nearly increased tenfold over the past decade.
Central Bank statistics show that inflation in Ordibehesht this year compared to the same month in 1400 (point-to-point inflation) was approximately 40 percent. Point-to-point inflation in Khordad was also approximately 52 percent.
