Four Family Members of November 2019 Protests Victims Arrested

Hrana News Agency – On Monday, July 11, 2022, Sakina Ahmadi, Rahima Yousefi, and Mahboubeh Ramezani, mothers of three victims of the November 2019 protests, were arrested by security forces in Tehran. Simultaneously, Saeed Damour, brother of another victim of the November 2019 protests, was arrested at his private residence.
According to Hrana News Agency, the news outlet of the Iranian human rights activists network, on Monday, July 11, 2022, four family members of victims of the November 2019 protests were arrested.
Sakina Ahmadi, mother of Ibrahim Ketabdar, Rahima Yousefi, mother of Navid Bahoodi, and Mahboubeh Ramezani, mother of Pejman Gholipour, were arrested at Ms. Yousefi’s private residence in Tehran.
Simultaneously, Saeed Damour, brother of Vahid Damour, another victim of the November 2019 protests, was arrested at his private residence in Karaj.
Sakina Ahmadi is the mother of Ibrahim Ketabdar. Ibrahim Ketabdar (born February 17, 1990 in Tabriz – died November 15, 2019 in Karaj) was one of the victims of Iran’s nationwide November 2019 protests.
Rahima Yousefi is the mother of Navid Bahoodi. Navid Bahoodi (born September 18, 1996 – died November 16, 2019 in Qods) was one of the victims of Iran’s nationwide November 2019 protests.
Mahboubeh Ramezani is the mother of Pejman Gholipour. Pejman Gholipour (born September 28, 2001 – died November 16, 2019) was one of the victims of Iran’s nationwide November 2019 protests.
Saeed Damour is the brother of Vahid Damour. Vahid Damour (born June 17, 1990 – died November 16, 2019 in Fardis, Karaj) was one of the victims of Iran’s nationwide November 2019 protests.
It should be noted that the November protests refer to a series of nationwide protests that began on Friday, November 15, 2018, following the announcement of an unprecedented increase in gasoline prices in dozens of Iranian cities, with an unprecedented presence of protesters in the streets, and continued for several days. Mohammad Javad Kolivand, the representative of Karaj’s people in parliament, stated that these protests occurred in 719 locations across the country. Seyyed Hossein Naghavi Hosseini, the former spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of parliament, also reported the number of people arrested in these protests at approximately 7,000 individuals. According to reports from human rights organizations, hundreds of people also lost their lives in these bloody protests.
