Fire at Commercial Building in Tehran Leaves At Least 9 Injured

A major fire at the Lidoma commercial building in western Tehran has left at least 9 people injured.

Mojtaba Khaldi, spokesman for the Emergency Organization, announced on Monday, June 20, that so far two women and seven men have been injured in the incident.

Images released from the Lidoma arcade show thick smoke rising from the upper floors of the building into the sky.

Jalal Maleki, spokesman for the Fire Department, also stated that the fire was extensive, but the cause of the incident has not yet been determined, and firefighting forces are working to extinguish the fire.

He said 30 people have been rescued from the incident and the building is being evacuated.
