Hamed Esmaeilion Criticizes Canada’s Soft and Cautious Approach

A member of the PS752 flight families association, speaking at a meeting of the Canadian Parliament’s international human rights working group, criticized the soft and cautious approach taken by the Canadian government in pursuing justice, saying: “The Iranian government has left the families of victims and many Canadians in a state of despair over the past thirty months.”
Hamed Esmaeilion, emphasizing that the missile strike on the aircraft was intentional and that the Islamic Republic used 177 passengers and crew members as human shields, told the working group members: “The narrative presented by the Islamic Republic is solely intended to create confusion.”
Esmaeilion continued: “The Islamic Republic has subjected families in Iran to severe psychological pressure and physical harassment. A report published by Human Rights Watch in May 2021 refers to physical torture of families, and I can assure you that this practice has been widely repeated in Iran through repeated interrogations.” He also stated that even families of Afghan passengers residing in Iran are under severe government pressure.
The member of the PS752 flight families association concluded his five-minute speech, which was posted on the ps752justice Instagram page, saying: “We will never forgive and never forget.”
