A porter wounded by direct fire from military forces in Sardasht border areas

According to Hrana news agency, citing Coolbarnews, on Tuesday, the 10th of Khordad 1401, a porter was wounded by direct fire from military forces in the border areas of Sardasht.
The identity of this porter is Rasoul Rahman, 26 years old, from the village of “Shanieh” under the jurisdiction of “Qaleh Diz” in the Kurdistan region, and is married with one daughter.
According to this report, the porter was severely wounded in the hands and feet and is currently under medical treatment and care in the hospital.
Portering is a false and arduous occupation that people in border areas resort to due to lack of employment opportunities, and annually dozens are killed or wounded in the face of natural hazards or as a result of fire from border guard forces.
In a section of the annual report on the human rights situation in Iran, specifically for the year 2021, attention was paid to citizens who have been killed or wounded by military organs.
Apart from material damages, killing of pack animals and incidents such as frostbite and avalanches, the report documented the killing of 23 porters (border porters) and the wounding of 81 of them by border guard and police forces.
It should be noted that 28 other porters were also affected by climatic and geographical conditions such as frostbite and falls from heights, of which 16 porters were wounded and 12 porters lost their lives.
