Two Defendants Tried for Assaulting Teenage Girl

Two defendants accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old teenage girl in Tehran were tried in Criminal Court One of the province.

According to Hrana news agency, citing RONNA, two defendants accused of sexually harassing a 15-year-old teenage girl in Tehran were tried in Criminal Court One of the province.

Based on this report, the case of a 15-year-old girl who claims she was assaulted by a neighbor’s son and his friend was placed on the agenda of the twelfth branch of Criminal Court One of Tehran province, and the defendants and plaintiff appeared in court.

At the beginning of the hearing, Negar (the plaintiff) in presenting her complaint said: We are citizens of Afghanistan and our house is in South Mehrababad. Some time ago, I was alone at home when the neighbor’s son from the lower floor called me and said his mother wanted to speak with me, but when I entered their house, I found that one of his close friends named Majid was there, but there was no sign of his mother. Then “the neighbor’s son and his friend assaulted me,” but I didn’t have the courage to tell my mother about it.

Negar’s mother continued: Some time ago, I noticed my daughter was not in her normal state, and when I took her to a doctor, they diagnosed that my daughter was pregnant. I was very shocked and asked her about what happened, and she said “the neighbor’s son and his friend assaulted her.”

Then the neighbor’s son, in his defense, said: I do not accept the charges against me. I had no relationship with Negar, but I had noticed from her suspicious comings and goings that she was in contact with one of the boys from her relatives.

The other defendant, named “Majid,” in his defense said: The teenage girl is four months pregnant. However, I came to Tehran from the province two weeks ago, and you can verify this because “it is easily provable.”

According to this report, given that Negar’s fetus has miscarried, the court ordered that “DNA” of the fetus be compared with the defendants.

The investigation of this case is ongoing.
