Caspian Airlines Flight Experiences Incident in Isfahan; Three Passengers Injured

A passenger aircraft in Isfahan on Wednesday deviated from its path on the airport runway due to what authorities described as a “technical malfunction” and subsequently came to a halt.
Hassan Amjadi, director general of Isfahan airports, told the Mehr news agency that the Mashhad-Isfahan flight deviated from its course at 5:03 PM on Wednesday, December 15, and stopped at the edge of the airport runway’s asphalt. He said a technical malfunction occurred in the left main wheel.
According to this report, three of the 117 passengers on the aircraft sustained “minor injuries.” The director general of Isfahan airports said rescue and relief operations were carried out “promptly.”
Mehr’s report indicates that this aircraft was Caspian Airlines flight number 737.
Iran’s aviation industry has been severely deteriorated due to years of sanctions and mismanagement, and aviation accidents in Iran in the years following the 1979 revolution have shown a significant increase compared to many other countries.
