Explosion and Fire at Tehran Flower Market Leave At Least Two Dead and Eight Wounded

An explosion and fire at Tehran’s flower market near Mahallati Highway has so far killed two people and wounded eight others.

The spokesman for the National Emergency Organization announced the news, stating that the incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 2nd.

According to ISNA news agency, firefighting operations have concluded, but search operations for possible missing persons and debris removal continue.

The spokesman for the Fire Department has identified the rupture of gas cylinders as the likely cause of the fire at the Mahallati flower market.
