Family’s Attempt to Sell 2-Month-Old Infant in Natanz

The head of the welfare office in Natanz city, located in Isfahan Province, announced police action to prevent the sale of a 2-month-old infant by his family in the city.

According to a report by the Hrana News Agency citing IRNA, the acting director of the Natanz Welfare Office stated: A family in Natanz city that intended to sell a 2-month-old infant was identified by police and their action was prevented.

Rahil Mansouri added: Today, Saturday, following a phone call from one of the residents of Natanz city regarding the sale of a 2-month-old infant by family members, social workers from the city welfare office immediately, in coordination with the public prosecutor and revolutionary prosecutor and law enforcement, appeared at the specified location as a prospective child buyer to investigate evidence, and after confirming this matter, they informed the law enforcement.

The acting director of the Natanz Welfare Office stated: The timely action of this Natanz citizen prevented the sale of the 2-month-old infant.
