Iran’s Presidential Economic Advisor: We Have Been Smuggling Our Own Oil for Three Years
Mohsen Rezaei said that “Zagros residents and Bakhtiari people should rise up against America”.
Iran’s Presidential Economic Advisor says: For more than three years we have been smuggling oil and secretly bringing our dollar revenues into the country.
According to IRNA news agency, Mohsen Rezaei, while pointing to the government’s role in continuing economic sanctions, said: “America’s economic siege of Iran must be broken by the efforts of the people”.
In his remarks in Izeh, he also said: “Zagros residents and Bakhtiari people should rise up against America”.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council for Coordination of Economic Affairs among the branches of power meanwhile stated: Domestic sanctions are more dangerous than foreign sanctions.
The statements of the Presidential Economic Advisor come at a time when senior system officials have repeatedly spoken about the ineffectiveness of sanctions and say they are in no hurry to negotiate to lift these sanctions.
