Grossi: Iran Has Not Responded to IAEA Questions for Two Years

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s assessment, the nuclear dispute with the Islamic Republic will intensify during Ibrahim Raisi’s presidency. The Islamic Republic has not set a date for returning to Vienna talks after a 75-day pause in negotiations.
The International Atomic Energy Agency announced two weeks before holding its general conference about the Islamic Republic’s lack of cooperation.
Reuters news agency on Tuesday, September 7 (Shahrivar 16), reported from Vienna on the statements of Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The news agency pointed to the escalation of the nuclear dispute with the Islamic Republic of Iran during Ibrahim Raisi’s presidency.
Rafael Grossi stated that despite two years passing, the Islamic Republic has still not responded to the IAEA’s questions about uranium particle observations detected at four undeclared locations.
Although Raisi announced the Islamic Republic’s readiness to return to the negotiating table, he emphasized that this country will not succumb to pressure from Western countries.
The head of Iran’s thirteenth administration also stated that Iran’s participation in the JCPOA commission talks aims at lifting sanctions.
It should be noted that following the Trump administration’s withdrawal in 2018 from the “P5+1” nuclear agreement with Iran, the Islamic Republic has gradually distanced itself from its JCPOA commitments.
The International Atomic Energy Agency’s general conference is scheduled to be held on September 21 in Vienna. There is speculation about a possible meeting between Rafael Grossi and Mohammad Eslami, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency is attempting to encourage Iran to continue dialogue in the JCPOA joint commission before this conference is held.
