Israeli Army Commander: Cooperation with US Against Iran is Unprecedented

General Kochavi, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, met with the commander of CENTCOM, the White House National Security Advisor, and the head of the CIA in America. He described the common goal of the US and Israeli armies as “neutralizing hostile Iranian behavior.”

The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army praised “unprecedented cooperation” with the United States against Iran on Wednesday, June 23. General Aviv Kochavi met with General Frank McKenzie, commander of the Central Command, at the headquarters of US Central Command (CENTCOM) located in Florida.

The Israeli commander’s remarks came on a day when Iran announced it had thwarted a sabotage attack on a building of the organization of atomic energy of the country near Karaj.

Kochavi has been in the United States since Sunday. In his meeting with General McKenzie, he discussed the recent war in Gaza, Syria, and cooperation between the United States and Israel.

In a statement, he said: “The operational cooperation between the Israeli Army and the American Army is unprecedented in scope and has reached new heights.”

Kochavi described the “common and primary goal” of the two countries’ armies as “neutralizing hostile Iranian behavior.”

He added: “Iran is pursuing the establishment and strengthening of terrorists in many countries and, with the expansion of its nuclear program, advanced weapons including ballistic missiles, and financial support for terrorist militias, continues to pose regional threats.”

The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army also met with Jake Sullivan, the United States National Security Advisor, and discussed “Iran’s influence in the Middle East region and the shortcomings of the nuclear agreement.”

In a statement from the Israeli Army, it said: “In his meeting with Sullivan and William Burns, head of the CIA, Kochavi proposed multiple ways to prevent Iran from becoming capable of building atomic weapons.”

This Israeli commander’s trip to the United States ends on Friday, June 25.
