Dual-citizen Nahid Taghavi transferred from IRGC Intelligence detention to Evin Prison women’s ward

Nahid Taghavi, an Iranian-German dual-citizen, was transferred today, Sunday, 26 Ordibehesht, from IRGC Intelligence detention, known as Ward 2A of Evin Prison, to the women’s ward of the prison. Ms. Taghavi was arrested on 25 Mehr 99 by IRGC Intelligence officers and after 5 months was transferred from IRGC Intelligence detention to Evin Prison’s women’s ward. She was again transferred on 26 Farvardin of this year to IRGC Intelligence detention, known as Ward 2A of the prison.
According to Hrana news agency, the news organ of the Iranian human rights activists collective, on Sunday afternoon, 26 Ordibehesht 1400, Nahid Taghavi, an Iranian-German dual-citizen, was transferred to Evin Prison’s women’s ward.
This dual-citizen prisoner was transferred on Monday, 16 Farvardin 1400, under the pretext of a doctor’s visit, from Evin Prison’s women’s ward back to IRGC Intelligence detention, known as Ward 2A of the prison. According to a source informed of Ms. Taghavi’s situation, since her transfer to this security agency’s detention facility until today, she has been held indefinitely in solitary confinement and has not been interrogated during this period.
The first court session to hear charges against Nahid Taghavi along with five other political defendants was held on Wednesday, 8 Ordibehesht, in Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court. It is said that the second court session for this citizen along with her five co-defendants will be held in late Khordad of the current year.
Hrana first reported on 28 Mehr 99 of Ms. Taghavi’s arrest at her home in Tehran by security forces on Friday night, 25 Mehr 99, and stated that officers conducted a search of her residence and confiscated some of her personal items including a laptop, mobile phone, passports, and books, which they took with them.
Ms. Taghavi was transferred from IRGC Intelligence detention to the women’s ward on 26 Esfand 99 after the completion of interrogation procedures. Ms. Klaren had previously stated that her mother has undergone interrogation for 80 sessions equivalent to 1000 hours since her arrest.
Judge Haji Moradi had previously told this citizen’s family members when they visited the prosecutor’s office that only lawyers trusted by the judiciary have access to this case file. He also added that Ms. Taghavi’s case would not be referred to court until “she accepts her charges.”
Nahid Taghavi is a 66-year-old Iranian-German dual-citizen and retired architect. Ms. Taghavi migrated from Iran to Germany in 1382 along with her family and has been traveling between Iran and Germany over the past 15 years.
