Domestic Violence; Murder of Woman by Her Husband in Tonekabon
A man who killed his wife three months ago and went into hiding has been arrested by Damavand police and transferred to Tonekabon city.
According to Hrana news agency citing state radio and television, a man accused of murdering his wife was arrested by Damavand police.
The police commander of Tonekabon city said in this regard: “Following the murder of a woman on the 2nd of Mehr this year, police intelligence officers with informational measures and police investigations arrested the main suspect in the case”.
Mohammad Sadegh Shah Nazari added: “Given the full confession of this person to the murder and his disappearance and being the main suspect in the case, efforts to identify the suspect’s hideout were put on the agenda until after approximately 3 months they succeeded in identifying the trace of this fugitive suspect in Damavand city in Tehran province”.
He continued: “With the identification of the suspect’s hideout and judicial coordination, the suspect was arrested in a surprise operation and transferred to Tonekabon city”.
Colonel Shah Nazari added: the suspect confessed to the murder of his wife in police investigations and technical interrogations, and with the formation of a file for legal proceedings, was handed over to the judicial authorities.
