Donald Trump’s Farewell Speech: Listing Achievements and Self-Praise Once Again

One day before leaving the White House, Donald Trump in his final speech addressed the American people and praised the achievements of his administration. He said that during his tenure he was able to “revive America’s greatness and dignity” once again.
Trump’s speech on Tuesday, January 19 (December 30) is considered his final official speech as President of the United States. Trump took this opportunity to praise himself once more and spoke of the tremendous achievements of his term in office.
In this video message, Trump enumerated economic achievements as well as his administration’s successes in domestic and foreign policy, stating that his administration was able to revive “American supremacy” beyond the country’s borders and “American dignity” within the country.
Although Trump wished success for America’s next government, he made no mention of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. In his 20-minute video message, Trump requested of America’s new administration: “The world respects us again. I ask that you do not squander this respect.”
In another part of his video message, Trump boasted that he is the only U.S. President in decades who has not started any new wars.
He also spoke of his administration’s success in combating the coronavirus. This comes as the number of coronavirus victims in America reached 400,000 on the day of the transfer of political power in the country.
It should be noted that he also avoided admitting defeat in the elections of November 3rd in his video message. Trump will not attend Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony.
