Suicide of a Teenage Girl in Sanandaj

A 17-year-old female student residing in Sanandaj city in Kurdistan Province committed suicide by hanging on Thursday, November 13, 2020, and lost her life. The share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides has been reported by the Legal Medicine Organization to exceed 7 percent.

According to Hrana News Agency, the news organ of the Iranian Human Rights Activists group, on Thursday, November 13, 2020, a teenage girl in Sanandaj city in Kurdistan Province committed suicide by hanging and lost her life.

The identity of this teenage girl has been confirmed by Hrana as “Pariya Abedi (Mazwarah), 17 years old and a student at one of Sanandaj’s high schools.”

Family problems were cited as the reason for this teenage girl’s suicide, and her body was buried in the cemetery of her place of residence in Sanandaj city.

Sanandaj is one of the cities in Kurdistan Province in western Iran. The city of Sanandaj is the center of this city.

The share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides has been reported by the Legal Medicine Organization to exceed 7 percent.
