Floods Cause 5 Trillion Rials in Damage to Farmers in South Kerman

The head of the Agricultural Jihad Organization in South Kerman stated that floods have caused five trillion rials in damage to farmers in the region. The heaviest agricultural damage in South Kerman occurred in Rudbar Jonub district in the Jazmourian section, with the most significant losses affecting agricultural products including wheat, tomatoes, barley, watermelon, greenhouse products, vegetables and herbs, according to expert assessments.
He emphasized that the floods caused the highest damage to the agricultural sector in Rudbar Jonub, Kahnouj, Qaleh Ganj, Faryab, Anbarabad, Jiroft and Minujan districts respectively. According to initial estimates, more than 10,000 hectares of agricultural land in South Kerman are surrounded by floodwaters.
