Trump: ‘No one is allowed to speak on behalf of America with Iran’

Donald Trump criticized Macron for sending “mixed signals” to Iran. Donald Trump said that only America can represent America. It was previously reported that Macron had invited Hassan Rouhani to talk with Trump.
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Thursday, August 8 (Mordad 17) that no one is allowed to speak on behalf of the United States with Iran. Trump accused Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, of sending “mixed signals” about possible negotiations with Iran.
Trump wrote in one of his tweets related to this matter: “Iran is facing serious financial problems. They are desperately seeking talks with America, but they are being given mixed signals by everyone who appears to be our representative, including by the President of France, Macron.”
Trump immediately wrote in another tweet: “I know that Emmanuel means well, just as everyone else does, but no one speaks on behalf of the United States except the United States itself. No one is allowed to represent us in any way or form.”
Reuters reports that from Trump’s tweets it is not immediately clear what the American President is referring to, but a report published in the early days of this week said that Macron had invited his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani to participate in the G7 group meeting to meet with Trump.
A French diplomat dismissed this report as incorrect yesterday, Wednesday.
The 45th summit of the G7 member countries will be held from August 24 to 26 in France. The summit is expected to also address the critical issue that has existed in recent weeks in Iran-US relations.
The US President and other officials of the American government have previously said that Trump is ready for dialogue with Iran and that America does not want war with Iran.
