Child Mortality Rate Under One Year Due to Air Pollution in Iran is 6 Times Higher Than Turkey

The head of the Environmental Protection Organization stated: Currently, 73 percent of buses, 60 percent of trucks, 87 percent of minibuses, and 81 percent of motorcycles in the country are scrapped, and each motorcycle produces as much pollution as eight Samand vehicles.

He said: The mortality rate of children under one year due to air pollution in Iran is 6 times higher than in Turkey, and unfortunately what is missing is a long-term perspective on resource conservation and sustainable development.
