Property of imprisoned political couple confiscated in favor of Iranian government

According to a report by the Campaign to Defend Political and Civil Prisoners, the “Execution Headquarters of the Imam’s Decree” has confiscated the only house belonging to Fatemeh Mosannai and Hassan Sadeghi, two political prisoners held in Evin and Gohardasht prisons.
Iman Sadeghi, the son of these two political prisoners, told the Iran Human Rights Campaign that the “Execution Headquarters of the Imam’s Decree” confiscated a large portion of their property and has now moved to confiscate the family’s only residence, despite the fact that according to criminal law, courts cannot confiscate assets that would deprive a convict’s spouse, children, and dependents of primary necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter.
According to Iman Sadeghi, his parents need medical care in prison, but judicial-security authorities have neglected this matter, and despite coordinating medical appointments at the family’s expense, they are obstructing his parents’ treatment by not sending them to the hospital.
Hassan Sadeghi and Fatemeh Mosannai were sentenced on April 10, 2014, by judge Mashhallah Ahmadzadeh in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court to 15 years in prison each on charges of “contact with the People’s Mujahedin Organization.”
