Families of Road Accident Victims in Larestan, Fars Province Gather in Protest

Families of those killed in road accidents and residents of Larestan County, a subdivision of Fars Province, staged a protest gathering against the condition of roads.

According to reports, families of victims from a traffic accident on the Lar to Jahrom route, which resulted in 16 deaths, gathered on Tuesday, the 1st of Mordad, in front of the general office of roads and urban development of the county to protest the condition of roads.

Iran is among countries with high statistics of traffic accidents, and according to official figures, 41 people lose their lives daily in traffic accidents.

Substandard roads and low quality of vehicles are among the reasons for the high rate of accidents in Iran.
