“France Has a Problem with Islam”

The President of France stated: “France has a problem with Islam” and that many illegal immigrants have entered the country.

According to the Guardian, François Hollande made these controversial remarks in a 660-page book titled “A President Should Not Say This: Secrets of Five Years of Presidency.”+

He also emphasized that veiled women today will be “Marianne” (the symbol of the female form in the French Republic) tomorrow, and if we provide them with proper conditions for advancement, women will free themselves from the hijab and become French women, preferring liberty to obedience.+

The French President stated in this book that “there is no doubt that France has a problem with Islam. Islam wants to impose itself as a superior religion on the French Republic.”+

He added that if Muslims do not condemn extremist actions and mosque imams behave in an anti-republican manner, this too could become problematic.+

France, with over five million Muslims, has the largest Muslim population in Europe, comprising approximately 10 percent of the country’s population.
