3-Day-Old Infant Abandoned in Cemetery Rescued from Certain Death by Zahedan Emergency Services

Hrana News Agency – The head of the Medical Emergency Management Center of Sistan and Baluchestan Province stated that with the efforts of personnel at the Qurin District Emergency Base in Zahedan, a newborn infant abandoned in a cemetery was rescued from certain death.

According to Hrana News Agency citing IRNA, Fariborz Rashidi stated: “In the afternoon of the fourth day of Tir month, a couple arrived at the Qurin District Emergency Base carrying a 3-day-old infant and stated that they had found this newborn in a cemetery”.

He said: “Due to extreme heat, the infant’s vital signs were in critical condition, but with successful resuscitation measures taken by technicians Khazaei and Shahbaksh, two emergency personnel at this base, the 3-day-old infant was brought back to life”.

Referring to the infant’s health, he stated: “With coordination with the judicial authorities and documentation of this incident, the 3-day-old infant was transferred to the Welfare Organization and is currently residing in the infant care facility in Zahedan city”.

Rashidi added: “56 urban and highway emergency bases are active across the province, and furthermore, one helicopter is ready to provide services to the people of the province within a 150-kilometer radius of Zahedan city”.
