London Underground Explosion Incident Declared ‘Terrorist Attack’

Reuters news agency reported on Friday, September 24, that British police are treating an explosion at a London Underground station, the capital of Britain, as a “terrorist” incident.
British police have not yet released the reasons for this designation or other information about the incident.
On Friday morning, international news agencies reported, citing local media, that an explosion occurred in the London Underground in which several metro passengers were injured.
The explosion was reported Friday morning by Reuters, citing the London Underground newspaper.
The incident occurred at Parsons Green metro station in west London, and according to this report, several passengers sustained burns as a result.
The French news agency, citing an eyewitness, described these burns as “severe.”
Meanwhile, a Twitter user posted two photos from inside a London Underground train car showing a white bucket on fire.
London police announced that they are aware of the incident and emergency personnel and police are present at the scene.
Following this incident, London’s public transportation organization announced that the District Line in London between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon will not provide service until further notice.
Further details about the nature of the explosion and the number of victims have not yet been released.
Britain has faced four “terrorist” attacks this year alone, which have resulted in a total of 36 deaths.
