Images of German Atomic Research Center Found in Abdelsalam’s Home

According to reports from German media, documents and images regarding Germany’s Jülich atomic research center have apparently been found in the apartment of Salah Abdeslam, the main suspect in the Paris attacks, in Brussels.
According to a report published in Spiegel Online, the German news platform RND (Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland) citing statements from members of the parliamentary control committee of the country, reported the discovery of images of Wolfgang Marquardt, the chief executive of German atomic facilities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in Salah Abdeslam’s apartment.
Hans-Georg Maaßen, head of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Germany, had provided highly classified information about this matter in late March to several members of the parliamentary control committee.

According to these reports, several parliamentary representatives and one terrorism expert from the Office for the Protection of the Constitution have confirmed that such information exists.
RND in its report stated that the office of the Chancellor and the German Ministry of Interior have announced that they do not possess information on this matter.
Salah Abdeslam, the main suspect in the Paris attacks, was arrested in Brussels on March 18 (28 Esfand) after four months of pursuit. Abdeslam, who is of Moroccan descent and born in Brussels, is accused of involvement in the November 13 Paris attacks that resulted in the deaths of 130 people.
His brother also detonated himself during the November 13 attacks.
Based on reports that were previously covered in the media, the terrorist cell responsible for the Brussels airport and metro attacks had spied on a Belgian atomic researcher. Members of this terrorist cell were arrested on March 22, four days after Abdeslam’s arrest.
