Deliberate Arson at 6 Black Churches in America
Over the past ten days, 6 black churches in the city of Saint Louis, Missouri, United States have been victims of deliberate arson.
According to a joint statement issued by Saint Louis police, fire department, and the office controlling alcohol, tobacco and firearms, in all cases, the fire started from the outer doors of the churches and there was no one inside the buildings.
The statement read: “We believe that this arson activity carries a message.” However, what that specific message was remained unclear.
According to CNN, 6 arson cases have occurred over the past 10 days. All of them involved black churches.
Authorities are investigating the incident, but so far have been unable to find definitive evidence linking these arsons to one another.
