According to the Associated Press, London emergency officials confirmed that at least six people have been killed and 64 others have been injured and taken to hospital in a fire that broke out in west London on Wednesday morning, June 14.
The fire at the 27-story Grenfell Tower began on Wednesday morning. Local media reported that 40 fire engines and 200 firefighters were dispatched.
The fire became uncontrollable on the upper floors after an hour. Some eyewitnesses said people were still inside the building and could be heard screaming.
The massive fire, visible from far away, caused parts of the building to collapse.
