Abolfazl Ghadiani blames Khamenei for Isfahan disaster

The head of the judiciary called the protesters in Isfahan and Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari a “deceited” people who are under the influence of “enemy movements.” Abolfazl Ghadiani, however, says that “today’s dictator of Iran, Ali Khamenei,” is responsible for the bloody suppression of the Zayandeh-Rood sit-ins.

Referring to the peaceful protests by the people of Isfahan, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari, and a number of other cities due to the mismanagement of the country's water resources by officials, Mohseni Ejei, the head of the Islamic Republic's judiciary, said: "If ignorant or deceived individuals want to disrupt people's security, the people and the military, security, and law enforcement forces must take action."

He added: "Wherever people feel that the enemy is behind the scenes, they come to the field to defend religion, the system, and the country."

Mohseni Ejei indirectly threatened the Isfahan protesters and the sit-ins in Zayandeh-Roud with violent action, and mentioned "January 29, 2009" as one of the critical moments when "the people, by their timely presence on the scene, thwarted the enemy in pursuing their scenario," and said: "At that time, some had demands that they were raising, but when they saw that the enemy was behind the matter, they came to the field with enthusiasm and readiness, extinguished the fire of sedition and did something about it."

What Mohseni Ejei recalls is the suppression of the Green Movement protesters on Ashura in 2009. In this regard, Sardar Hossein Hamedani, who was later killed in Syria, has presented his most documented account of the position and role of “thugs and thugs” in suppressing the Green Protesters. In 2015, he said in an interview: “We identified 5,000 people who were present in the riots but were not in political parties or movements, but were rather thugs and thugs, and we controlled them in their homes. On the day they were called up, they were controlled and were not allowed to leave their homes. Then I made them members of the battalions. Later, these three battalions showed that if we want to train Mujahideen, we must put such people who deal with knives and machetes to work.”

Aziz Jafari, the then commander of the Revolutionary Guards, confirmed General Hamedani's report and said: "Disrupting the enemy's conspiracy in the 1988 sedition was another great activity that was carried out by General Hamedani with the grace of God."

“Khamenei is responsible for suppressing the people of Isfahan”

Abolfazl Ghadiani, a political activist and prisoner and a critic of the Velayat-e-Faqih government, holds Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, responsible for suppressing peaceful protests in Isfahan and Chaharmahal-e-Bakhtiari.

In his statement supporting the protesters, Ghadiani said: "The religious tyrannical regime headed by today's Iranian dictator Ali Khamenei finally could not tolerate the peaceful, non-violent, and civil sit-in protest of the honorable and brave people of Isfahan and inevitably revealed its anti-people, violent, and oppressive nature once again. After setting fire to the tents set up by the sit-ins in Zayandeh-Roud, it attacked the protesters with tear gas, shot pellets, and batons, assaulting and beating them, severely injuring many of the protesters, arresting many of them, and, in its naive imagination, extinguishing the fire of the people's rightful protests."

This political activist, who has been sentenced to prison many times for his criticism of the Velayat-e-Faqih system, adds: "The government tried to create division between the Isfahan protesters and the Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari protesters and with this trick, divert the protests in the two provinces against itself, but the protesters cleverly chanted the slogan of "Unity, Unity" and thus thwarted the government's plot."

At the end of his statement, he stated that all the attacking organizations and their commanders are responsible for the bloody attack on the peaceful, non-violent, and civil protests of the honorable people of Isfahan; “But the main person responsible for this attack and the disasters that have been caused is the tyrant Ali Khamenei of Iran, who must be held accountable.”
