Public execution of two defendants in the "Shiraz Shahcheragh Attack"

The death sentence for two defendants in the "Shiraz Shahcheragh attack" was carried out in public this morning, Saturday, July 8th.

The attack on Shahcheragh in the fall of 1401 AH coincided with nationwide protests aimed at disrupting public opinion. As a result of the attack, 13 people were killed, and Iranian authorities attributed the attack to the terrorist group ISIS.

The verdict in the case, which was full of contradictions, was carried out this morning, Saturday, 17th of Tihr 1402, on Shiraz's 9th Day Street, which was close to the site of the attack on Shahcheragh, and the defendants were executed in public.

The Islamic Republic of Iran closed the case of this scenario, despite many contradictory statements, by publicly executing Naeem Hashem Qatali and Mohammad Ramzarshidi, two Afghan citizens. The death sentences were issued after forced confessions and were carried out while they were deprived of access to lawyers and a fair trial.

The aforementioned verdict was issued in March 1401. Three other defendants in the case, Mohammad Rahmani, Mustafa Janamani, and Hamidollah Kabuli, were also sentenced to five to 25 years in prison.

Since the start of the nationwide protests, the Islamic Republic regime has killed many innocent people by direct gunfire, or arrested and sentenced them to death for crimes they did not commit, and has also unjustly carried out death sentences.

It is worth noting that human rights organizations and groups have reacted and protested against the crimes committed by the Islamic Republic regime against the people of Iran and the significant increase in executions in Iran.
