Execution of Two Defendants in Shiraz Shahrchiraagh Attack Case Carried Out in Public

The death sentence of two defendants in the “Shiraz Shahrchiraagh attack” case was carried out in public on Saturday morning, Tir 17th.
The attack on Shahrchiraagh took place in the fall of 1401 coinciding with nationwide protests in an attempt to disturb public opinion. Following this attack, 13 people were killed, and Iranian authorities attributed the attack to the terrorist group ISIS.
The verdict in a case rife with contradictions was carried out on Saturday morning, Tir 17th, 1402, on Nohum-e Dey Street in Shiraz near the site of the Shahrchiraagh attack, and the defendants were executed in public.
The Islamic Republic closed the file on this scenario by executing Naeim Hashemghatlei and Mohammad Ramzarshahidi, two Afghan nationals, in public, despite numerous contradictory statements. The execution order was issued following forced confessions and was carried out while the defendants were deprived of legal representation and fair trial. The order was issued in Esfand 1401. Three other defendants in this case, named Mohammad Rahmani, Mostafa Janamani, and Hamidullah Kabuli, were sentenced to five to 25 years in prison.
Since the beginning of nationwide protests, the Islamic Republic regime has killed many innocent people through direct gunfire, detained them for crimes they did not commit, sentenced them to death, and unjustly carried out these execution orders.
It should be noted that human rights organizations and groups have reacted to and protested against the crimes committed by the Islamic Republic regime against the Iranian people and the dramatic increase in executions in Iran.
