Number of victims of sea floods increases on the coast of Bushehr

A day after the sea flooded parts of the coast of Bushehr province, a local official announced the discovery of the second body of the missing person in the incident.
According to IRNA, Namdar Darvishi, Deputy Governor of Dir, announced on Monday, March 20, that the Maritime Administration's rescue ship found the body of a 9-year-old child who had disappeared during the flood and flooding in Dir city in coastal waters.
Mr. Darvishi said that with the discovery of this body, the death toll from the flood has reached two. He added that the fate of the other four missing people is still unknown, but a team of divers and a fishing boat are patrolling and searching for any trace of them.
The occurrence of the rare natural phenomenon of the Sish, which resulted in high waves and flooding in areas of Bushehr Province, Bandar Dir, Assaluyeh, and Nakhl Taghi, in addition to leaving a number of injured and missing people and two dead, also caused damage to buildings and boats.
The incident occurred as southern cities, including coastal cities in Bushehr province, were preparing to host Nowruz travelers.
Local officials said some of the missing were Nowruz travelers. The governor of Assaluyeh said the incident resulted in several vehicles overturning and flooding of tents of travelers staying on the beach.
