Elon Musk: Different performance of 'The Last Supper' at Olympic opening ceremony was an insult to Christians

Tesla CEO Elon Musk called the different performance of "The Last Supper" at the Olympic opening ceremony an insult to Christians.

The opening ceremony of the 33rd Olympic Games was held last night, July 26, in France. Contrary to the promises made that it would be different and special, the ceremony resulted in unpleasant events that provoked serious reactions and criticism.

The Olympic philosophy is based on the concepts of peace, unity and healthy competition. The Olympics are held based on the primary goals of promoting friendship and solidarity between nations and cultures, serving as a bridge for communication between different nations, and advancing the world towards the promotion of culture, respect, equality and human rights through sporting and cultural events.

One of the most important issues discussed in this controversial inauguration, which attracted much criticism, was the issue of human rights and blasphemy.

At the event, a group of drag queens and dancers performed a performance that appeared to be a parody of “The Last Supper.” The performance drew backlash and criticism from social media users and some politicians. Some called the performance an insult to Christianity, while others described it as historic and a symbol of unity and peace. According to the New York Post, at the center of the performance was a gorgeous woman wearing a large silver crown that resembled the halo seen in paintings of Jesus’ Last Supper, smiling and forming a heart with her hands while her colleagues stared at the camera before starting to dance.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk also condemned the performance, saying it was disrespectful to Christians. Some users also praised the performance as a historic event, especially after three drag queens carried the Olympic torch for the first time. Drag queens are people who perform in a theatrical and artistic way, using exaggerated costumes, heavy makeup and sometimes different personas. These people usually take to the stage in the form of a show or performance, wearing women's clothes and special makeup.

It seems that the four-hour opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, rather than being the beginning of a sporting and cultural event with a tradition of peace and friendship, became a space to introduce the worst and darkest aspects of France as one of the influential contenders on the international stage and one of the contenders for a pioneer in human rights.
