Swedish priest burns Quran

The pastor of the Jed Sandberg Church in Sweden burned the Quran in an act of defiance.
Reports on social media indicate that a Swedish woman, the pastor of the Jade Sandberg Church, burned a Quran on Friday, April 26.
He burned the Quran in the Sjöholmen district of Stockholm, where Quran burnings have occurred in the past. The priest said while burning the Quran: "I have seen the Islamization of Sweden and I have seen this for years. You see how Islamists are spreading on all fronts. From security guards, cleaners and transport workers to political levels, Islamists are penetrating Sweden.
"Since I believe in Jesus Christ and consider Christianity and the Bible as my guide, I believe that the Bible and Christianity should be practiced in Sweden, the Nordic countries and Europe. Islam, its mosques and all those who belong to this religion have no place in Sweden."
Following the Swedish priest's action, dozens of Stockholmers gathered in the area to protest his action, chanting slogans against supporters of Quran burning and anti-racism. Also, before the priest's attempt to burn the Quran, the principal of a school in the Sjöholmen area had written a letter to parents asking them to keep their children away from the demonstration. Students were also banned from going outside and all activities were canceled to prevent children and employees from being near the demonstration.
