Hamed Esmailiyon criticizes the Canadian government's gentle and cautious approach

A member of the PS 752 Flight Families Association criticized the government's soft and cautious approach to justice at a meeting of the Canadian Parliament's International Human Rights Working Group, saying: "The Iranian government has left the families of the victims and many Canadians in a state of despair for the past thirty months."

Hamed Esmailiyon, emphasizing that the missile fire at the plane was intentional and that the Islamic Republic used 177 passengers and crew as human shields, told the working group members: "The narrative presented by the Islamic Republic is presented solely to confuse."

“The Islamic Republic has subjected families in Iran to severe psychological pressure and physical abuse,” Esmailiyon continued. “A report published by Human Rights Watch in May 2021 refers to physical torture of families, and I can assure you that this practice has been widely repeated in Iran during repeated interrogations.” He also said that even families of Afghan travelers residing in Iran are under severe pressure from the government.

“We will never forgive and we will never forget,” said a member of the PS752 Flight Families Association at the end of his five-minute speech, which was posted on the Instagram page ps752justice.
