Confirmation of six-year prison sentence for Baha'i citizen "Hami Bahadori" in Evin Prison

The Court of Appeals upheld the six-year prison sentence of 26-year-old Baha'i citizen Hami Bahadori in Evin Prison.

Hami Bahadori was arrested by security forces at his home in Tehran on October 21, 1401. In a preliminary court session held on June 21 of this year at Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, he was sentenced by Judge Salavati to 5 years in prison on charges of gathering and collusion, and to one year in prison for propaganda against the regime under the guise of Baha'i propaganda, for a total of 6 years in prison and additional punishment.

In addition to the above sentence, he was sentenced to a two-year ban on leaving the country and a ban on online activity, as well as the confiscation of all items seized from his and his wife's personal homes.

Hami Bahadori is currently being held in the six-room detention center of Evin Prison, and his prison sentence was confirmed by the Tehran Provincial Court of Appeal.

Religious minorities have been subjected to oppression by the government of the day. In addition to the Baha'is, Christians in Iran are also subjected to great oppression by the government under the guise of acting against national security, and unjust sentences are issued to them.
