Khorasan Razavi; Child abuse tops social emergency reports

The Director General of Welfare of Khorasan Razavi announced that 1,866 calls related to child abuse were registered with the social emergency telephone system of this province this year. According to him, during this year, reports of child abuse ranked first, followed by calls from the public, and family disputes and spousal abuse ranked second and third, respectively.
According to the HRANA news agency, quoting the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, the Director General of Welfare of Khorasan Razavi announced that 1,866 calls related to child abuse were registered with the province's social emergency telephone system this year.
The Director General of Khorasan Razavi Welfare said in this regard: "After child abuse, family disputes and spousal abuse are the most common topics of calls from Khorasani citizens to the province's social emergency telephone system since the beginning of this year."
Masoud Firouzi added: "Since the beginning of this year, 11,535 calls have been made to the provincial social welfare emergency hotline 123, with child abuse reports at the top with 1,866 cases and ranking first among public calls."
He continued: "Also, family disputes with 1,470 calls and spousal abuse with 961 calls ranked second and third with the most calls to the Khorasan Razavi Social Emergency."
