Human Rights Organization Requests Investigation from Amnesty International

Following unfortunate events that have occurred in Iran for the past 41 days, ranging from the deadly suppression of protesters to the fire at Evin Prison, the Human Rights Organization has requested that Amnesty International investigate these incidents.

The Human Rights Organization pointed to the history of the Islamic Republic, noting that this regime has always concealed facts and through lies distorted public opinion in order to pursue its criminal objectives. They have even had a history of massacres of prisoners in prisons, which has been normal for them.

The Human Rights Organization, to prevent further deadly suppressions, requested these investigations from Amnesty International.

Last year, Amnesty International had issued a report dedicated to the state of human rights in Iran, in which it had accused the officials of the Islamic Republic of numerous human rights violations. Now, in response to the new violence by the Islamic Republic that has led to deadly suppression of the Iranian people, this organization has called on the international community to join the global uprising of Iranians to stop this bloody crackdown and prevent the continuation of arrests and killings of protesters in Iran.

In a petition that this organization has published for the support of people around the world, it states that the security forces of the Islamic Republic, using military weapons and metal bullets, are attacking protesters.

According to Dubai Network (Al-Arabiya) in Persian, this organization has emphasized that the time has come for countries present in the United Nations Human Rights Council to strip immunity from the officials of the Iranian regime and hold them accountable in relation to the grave crimes they have committed.

Amnesty International has also called for the signing of this petition by its addressees around the world. Amnesty International announced that it calls on countries to now establish an independent mechanism within the United Nations to investigate and ensure accountability in relation to the most serious crimes that continue to occur in the context of widespread violations of international law in Iran.
