A citizen died in Qom following a shooting and police chase

HRANA News Agency – Following a shootout during a police chase with several suspects in Qom, a citizen who was passing by in his car was shot and died.

According to HRANA news agency, citing the police news website, a citizen from the city of Qom was killed following an armed clash between the police and the suspects.

The deputy operations officer of the Qom Provincial Police Command stated that the suspects were spotted on Jomhuri Boulevard on charges of carrying weapons and drugs and a stop order was issued for their driver. He continued: "The driver continued on his way regardless of the police warning, and in an armed confrontation, the car was stopped and the suspect was arrested."

Vali Torabi stated: "In this clash, the 24-year-old driver of a passing Quick car was injured and taken to the hospital, where he died from the severity of his injuries."
