Donald Trump finally orders transfer of power to Joe Biden

After weeks of procrastination and insistence on “stealing” his election victory, Trump has officially ordered the formal transfer of power. Joe Biden’s team can now access government information and infrastructure. But Trump still has not accepted defeat.

In a tweet, Donald Trump has ordered his administration to work with Joe Biden's team to formally transition power to him. This will give Biden and his team access to the information they need to carry out their duties after weeks of delays. Joe Biden will begin his presidency on January 20, 2021, after his inauguration.

Emily Murphy, the head of the Federal Public Service Commission, has declared Joe Biden the winner of the election. Trump has asked Murphy to take the necessary steps in a tweet. He has asked his team to do the same.

A necessary step

In this way, the $6.3 million in money that is budgeted for the transfer of power to the new government will be made available to Biden's team.

Additionally, Joe Biden's associates can now officially contact US government officials and agencies, something that was not possible before Trump's order.

"The decision made today is an important step in our efforts to overcome the challenges facing the United States," Biden's team announced.

It should be noted that Donald Trump did not mention his defeat in the November 3rd election in his Twitter post.

Trump even spoke again on Monday, November 23, of "stealing" the election results. This is despite the fact that 30 of Trump's lawsuits have so far been dismissed by the courts as "baseless."
